"...can I still wear a traditional wedding gown even though I am planning an island wedding?" ....Tina,

Absolutely, most brides still do wear a traditional dress at their island wedding, the resort can help you out with storing it and pressing if need be, Good Luck.

"...we are planning to get married in the Bahamas, I am just a little unsure about what to do with invitations..." Leslie

We definitely recommend sending out invitations as early as possible, you can include a card inside which gives the travel information for guests to book their trip through your own travel agent if they choose.  Also a good idea to have an R.S.V.P card in the invitation, the resort you choose will need to know the number of guests for dinner reservations etc. www.Laurapaladino.com offers sample wording and online invitation ordering.

"....Is it true that Mexico requires  blood tests in order to get married?" Lisa

Mexico does require a blood test for syphilis, Aids, and Sexually transmitted diseases, they will not allow you to get married if you have any of these "impediments to marriage".  Your alternative is to have a  religious ceremony instead, and just get married when you get back from your trip.
